Farmers, people want to read about your stories. Farm Stories wants to help you tell them. You don’t have to be a writer, or even good with a computer. If you sign up on Farm Stories, or have someone sign up for you. we can contact you and ask if you want to be interviewed for Farm Stories. We will work out a time, and call you for the interview. In some cases, we may be able to visit your farm and do an audio interview with photos, or video interviews. If everybody is more comfortable with a phone interview, though, we will stick to that. We will ask you questions about your farm and your story, we will write it up, and we will show it to you first, and with your permission we will publish it on Farm Stories. It is that easy.
If you don’t want to be interviewed, but want your own web page Blog on Farm Stories, we can also help you by setting it up – if you need help, although it is very easy to do by yourself. If you want to be interviewed for Farm Stories, and also have your own blog, you can do that too.
What is a Blog, anyway?
Blog is short for Web Log. It is a log, or journal, that you can publish online on your own Web page without having to know any programming. The software Farm Stories uses is the same software that powers millions of blogs on Wordpress.com, and is very easy to use. It is a great way to get your own little corner of the Web for free to tell your story, keep family and friends updated on life on the farm, and connect directly to customers who are interested in buying your products. Instead of having a blog with a name that is not really related to farming on wordpress.com, or blogspot.com, why not why not get yourname.farmstories.org or yourfarmname.farmstories.org today for free? You don’t have to share personal information on your blog if you do’nt want to do that. You can write about anything you want to write about related to farming and food. It is completely up to you.
Basic Blogs on Farm Stories are free and always will be. Additional features will be added in the future, and we may offer a supporter option where supporters get extra features in return for a small fee. If you don’t want to become a supporter, you can continue to use your free blog on Farm Stories and you will never be charged anything. No bait and switch here. By going with an optional supporter revenue model for those who want to support our mission and vision, we can always offer Farm Stories blogs for free to those who cannot pay.
